Project

Marienturm and Marienforum, Frankfurt, Germany

In one of the most prominent locations at the heart of the banking district in Frankfurt/Main an inspiring new working environment is under construction at Marieninsel. The building ensemble, comprising the 40 floor office tower Marienturm and the office and retail building Marienforum, will be a bustling link between Taunusanlage and Mainzer Landstrasse, and will redefine the center of the Central Business District.

The Marienturm rises up from a six-story podium that follows the lines of the street out front. Its slender sculptural shape is the product of two narrow slabs of different heights that interlock. The tower is topped by a crown of light that will gleam out across the city at night. The calm facades of white natural stone set the Marienforum off from the shimmering metal frontage of the Marienturm. With its generously dimensioned entrances and store windows, the Marienforum opens out onto Mainzer Landstrasse and the newly-created Marienplatz.

With its generously dimensioned entrances and store windows, the Marienforum opens out onto Mainzer Landstrasse and the newly-created Marienplatz. With its hospitality and retail outlets, the new plaza will further enrich the area and provide ample opportunity for meeting people and slowing the pace down.
